In April 2000, my wife and I established Gold Coast Gondolas and established a logo incorporating the phrase: "The Ultimate Private Luxury Cruise and Dining Experience".
We had two primary objectives in mind:
- To provide small groups of 2 to 6 people the opportunity of enjoying an exclusive private dinner cruise aboard a private luxury gondola, and
- To offer couples a Romantic experience they would remember fondly for years to come
Based on these objectives our brochures and website carried the following underlying component:
"Whether you are looking for the Ultimate in Romance and Magic or are merely wanting to sit back and enjoy the experience of a lifetime... nothing will come close in providing the Luxury, Privacy, Ambiance and Setting of a Gold Coast Gondola cruise".

Tamborine Mountain (often referred to as Mount Tamborine) has long been favoured by Gold Coast and Brisbane residents as the ideal weekend getaway retreat and by other Queenslanders and interstate visitors as an ideal relaxation stay for a few midweek days. The fresh invigorating mountain air, scenic walks and numerous waterfalls have placed Tamborine Mountain on top of the map for rejuvenation, stress relief and invigoration for the body, mind and soul.
Situated close to the main tourist strip known as "Gallery Walk", the chalet is set amidst a private rainforest garden setting. Seperated by a raised boardwalk, your chalet is a split level, open plan design, including: a Private Rainforest Balcony, Reverse-cycle air conditioner, Log fire place, Dual Hydrotherapy massage Spa, TV, DVD, Self contained kitchenette, Comfy Queen size bed, luxury pillows, fluffy robes, Hairdryer, linen, condiments and amenities.

The Ultimate Romantic Indulgence Package
This package combines the best of both worlds and is guaranteed to impress beyond expectations. It is ideal for marriage proposals, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays or any other special romantic occasion or just the ideal way to spoil that someone special without breaking the bank.
This package has been designed to incorporate the basic essentials of Romance but without tying you and your partner down to a range of inclusions such as meals, massages, winery tours and day trips you may not want. Instead you will receive our personal suggestions of where to dine and what to do and see, thus allowing you to choose your own personal preferences.
Part one of the package is a two night stay at our "Romance-a-While" Private Romantic Mount Tamborine Chalet. This part of the package will incorporate:
- 750 ml bottle of sparkling wine
- Gourmet hamper with quality savoury snacks
- Special welcome letter with suggestions of where to dine and what to do and see
- A complimentary copy of our Romantic Gondola Music CD
- Late check-out of 12-00 midday
Part two of the package is a 1 1/2 hour Romantic Indulgence Cruise (see Package 2 under "Special Occasions").
